The Post Room is located within the Central Distribution building. It provides the University with a modern and reliable internal mail distribution system integrated with the state-of-the-art outgoing external mail.
The Post Room handles all the University's incoming and outgoing letter & packets and also incorporates as a mailing house for the University's Marketing Department.
The Van collection rounds provide as late a collection as possible from departments, while still leaving enough time to process the mail.
Postage costs are centrally budgeted by Central Distribution. All mail being sent out on business matters will have a PPI stamp or put through the University franking machine and this will be done by Central Distribution staff.
Private mail will only be accepted provided it has a valid postage stamp attached.
Delivery services and dispatch and receipt of parcels are handled by Central Distribution. |
