Surrey365, the Universityís Student Email Service, provides Email and Calendaring. It has a 25GB Mailbox, effective spam filtering and a fast interface. It can be accessed via the Outlook Web App, on mobile devices and through an email client on a computer.

All University of Surrey Students are registered to use Surrey365 and are obliged to check their Surrey365 Inbox regularly as it is the University's primary method of communication. Valid accounts for individuals will have the format firstname.lastname@example.org. By logging into Surrey365, Students agree to follow the Rules & Regulations.
Surrey365 is a 24/7 service which is available on-campus via the University's Network and off-campus over the Internet.
Surrey365 can also be accessed from any email client which can use IMAP or Exchange to connect to the service. If the email client is covered in a Help Sheet then IT User Support can offer further technical support if needed.
The maximum size of an email including attachments is limited to 25MB.
All students have a standard mailbox storage quota of 25GB. On approaching this size limit students will receive email notifications to free up space as follows:
Users should start to delete unwanted emails
Users cannot send email until they delete sufficient emails to below 24.50GB
Prohibit Send / Receive
Incoming mail is rejected and a non-delivery note (NDR) is returned to senders
Deleted Item Recovery
A user-initiated restore utility is available for students to retrieve deleted messages or mail folders from the Deleted Items folder for up to 30 days. Providing the Deleted Items file has not been emptied, Emails are recoverable for a further 14 days by contacting IT User Support. After this time Deleted Items are permanently deleted.
University IT will never ask for University Password details under any circumstances.
A valid University Username and Password are required to access the Surrey365. Smartphones may additionally require a pin number when connecting to the service.
University IT scans and removes all email categorised as spam before it reaches any @surrey.ac.uk address. Our spam filters are constantly updated, however, it is almost impossible to detect 100% of spam. If you receive any email that you are concerned about, you should forward it to IT User Support.
The University checks all incoming email for viruses. Mail sent internally within the Service is subject to virus checking on University Exchange Servers.
