Welcome to the Research and Enterprise Support (RES) website. These pages will give you an overview of how RES can help you with research, enterprise and knowledge transfer activities.

• The Research Development Team provide advice and support in generating income for the University through research collaborations with industry, consultancy, knowledge transfer partnerships, bid support and expert services.

• The Projects, Programmes and Enterprise Team provide project management and enterprise support across the University for staff and students and manages strategic partnerships and business relationships.

• Technology Transfer Office manage the University’s Intellectual Property portfolio, working to transfer technology from the University to industry.

• RES have a Legal Team of qualified lawyers to provide legal advice to academics and negotiate contracts on behalf of the University.

• The Director’s Office assists with the financial, human resources, and administrative operation of RES.

Working alongside RES are Research Administration Services (RAS), who assist academic staff members undertaking research
