Ceramics and Ceramic Matrix Composites

This course provides a detailed consideration of the processing and mechanical properties of engineering ceramics and ceramic matrix composites.

The functional properties of ceramics are introduced, as are topics such as wear, thermomechanical behaviour, design and fractography. In these topics, both ceramics and ceramic matrix composites are considered, where appropriate. Additionally, there are lectures on individual groups of materials. The lecture content is reinforced and enhanced through tutorial/exercise class sessions.

"Excellent coverage. Best short course I've ever been on"
