Numerical Modelling

The aims of this course are to explain the underlying principles of finite element analysis, to introduce models for the constitutive behaviour of materials under different conditions, to demonstrate the application of finite element analysis in modelling the processing of materials and the behaviour of structural elements /components under a range of loading situations. All the main classes of engineering materials are considered.

"A good mix of theory/applications/tutorials/practicals. Some interesting presentations from industry – a good opportunity to talk with people doing the work"
