The Centre for Environmental Strategy (CES) is the leading centre for Sustainable Development related research and postgraduate teaching in the UK.

CES is a 5A rated research centre which is firmly established, nationally and internationally, as a focus for cross-disciplinary analysis of long-term environmental problems.

Taught Masters (MSc) programmes:

Postgraduate Research programmes:

• PhDs focus upon a diverse range of multi-disciplinary research areas and apply both social science and engineering based research tools to advance understanding of local and international environmental problems.
• Engineering Doctorates (EngDs) are better suited to the needs of industry providing a more vocationally oriented doctorate in engineering and are intended for UK engineers aspiring to key managerial positions.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) - flexible stand alone intensive modules which can provide routes to associate membership of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) and to our Masters programmes.
